Public Enemy Returns to Greece for the Hip-Hop Event of the Year!
The legendary Public Enemy is coming back to Greece for the first time in seventeen years to deliver a night of pure energy, activism, and iconic beats!
On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, Technopolis City of Athens will host one of the most influential hip-hop groups of all time for a performance that will shake the city. General on-sale begins on Thursday, 13 March at 12:00 PM.
The Revolutionary Legacy of Public Enemy
Formed in 1985 in New York City, Public Enemy was created by Chuck D and Flavor Flav, the duo that remains the heart and soul of the group to this day. Known for their politically charged lyrics and fearless social commentary, they transformed hip-hop into a powerful voice for change, tackling issues of racial equality, social justice, and activism. Their impact goes beyond music—they have challenged the status quo and inspired movements for four decades.
The Most Influential Group in Hip-Hop History
With a career spanning forty years, Public Enemy has influenced artists across genres, from Spike Lee and Harry Belafonte to Kurt Cobain, Björk, Moby, Nine Inch Nails, and Rage Against The Machine. Their second album, “It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back,” is ranked 15th on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. In 2013, they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2020, they received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, solidifying their legendary status.
A Special Bond with Greece
Public Enemy’s relationship with Greece runs deep. Their historic 1992 concert at the Katrakio Theater in Nikaia was the first major hip-hop show in Greece, sparking the rise of the Greek hip-hop scene. Now, in 2025, they return to Athens for an explosive night that will bring together old-school fans and new generations ready to witness hip-hop history.
