A deeply personal musical creation dedicated to his daughter, the suite began with an intimate and tender moment. Its origins lie in an improvised lullaby that Kasetas used to sing to his daughter to help her fall asleep when she was just six months old. This simple musical motif has since evolved into a complete jazz composition, retaining the emotional depth of its original inspiration.

At THEATRE OF THE NO, Kasetas will be joined by an exceptional quintet featuring Dimitris Papadopoulos on trumpet, Kostis Christodoulou on piano, Periklis Trivolis on double bass, and Dimitris Klonis on drums. Guitarist and composer Vyronas Dolas will also join the performance as a special guest.

Kasetas studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he received scholarships and distinguished himself in saxophone performance, composition and arranging. His musical language draws on contemporary jazz, post-bop, modal jazz and jazz-funk, creating a distinctive sound shaped by both technical expertise and expressive freedom.

Having performed his music in Greece and internationally, Kasetas has collaborated with leading musicians from the international jazz scene, including Craig Handy, Clarence Penn, Miles Griffith and Ulysses Owens Jr.

“Suite For My Daughter” brings together personal expression, improvisation and contemporary jazz in a performance that explores the emotional power of music. Inspired by a father’s lullaby, the composition transforms an intimate memory into a musical journey, inviting audiences to experience the more personal side of Kasetas’ artistic world.
