The Doctor & The Bluesbothers at Theatre of the NO
On Thursday 15 October, Theatre of the NO welcomes The Doctor & The Bluesbothers, a Blues–Rock band from Mytilene with a strong presence on the island’s music scene and a steadfast commitment to the authentic sound of the Blues.
From Mytilene to Athens, with an authentic Blues and Blues Rock sound.
Rooted in traditional Blues while embracing the genre’s electric and rock-driven side, the band presents a programme spanning different eras and expressions of blues music — from its great pioneers to the artists who brought the Blues into dialogue with electric sound and Rock.
From the roots of the Blues to the energy of Rock
Their repertoire includes Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Albert King and Albert Collins, alongside Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Deeply grounded in the Blues, the set also carries the drive of Rock and the freedom of improvisation.
The Doctor & The Bluesbothers have already made their mark through live appearances in Mytilene, where they have shared the stage with Blues Wire — one of the most important and long-running bands on the Greek blues scene — as well as Tasos Skouras.
