Vanila Swing: From Swing to Rock ’n’ Roll at Theatre of the NO
VANILA SWING return to Theatre of the NO on Friday 13 November at 21:30 with “From Swing to Rock ’n’ Roll”, a special live show dedicated to the musical journey from swing to rock ’n’ roll.
With 15 years of dynamic presence on Athens’ music scene and countless performances across Greece, VANILA SWING bring to life the decades that shaped the course of modern music.
From American juke joints and the glamorous ballrooms of the 1930s and 1940s to the clubs and concert stages of the 1950s, the band takes audiences on a journey through an era of rhythm, energy and authentic vintage style.
Built around swing and rhythm & blues influences, “From Swing to Rock ’n’ Roll” brings together songs and sounds that defined generations. Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and Ruth Brown meet Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Wanda Jackson and Jerry Lee Lewis in a musical journey where the elegance of swing gradually transforms into the explosive energy of rock ’n’ roll.
A live show filled with groove, nostalgia, authentic swing feeling and non-stop dancing—celebrating the enduring power of music.
