RIZES FEST ATHENS
Rizes Fest returns to Technopolis on September 19, 2025, for a night filled with music that smells like Greece – from Epirus and the plains to the islands and Smyrna.
A celebration dedicated to our musical roots, with sounds that connect generations, friends singing their hearts out, and rhythms that melt flip-flops.A festival that refuses to let summer come to an end.
Sometimes you just want summer to last forever. Some festivals hold onto that last breath of ease before life returns to routine. Some nights might look like autumn on the calendar, but still feel like summer in your heart. That’s exactly what Rizes Fest is like.
This year, once again, we’re setting up our square to celebrate music, roots, and the sounds that bring us together. There’s no rush on that day. From 18:00, the gates open, and the evening unfolds in the sweetest way:
Retseli welcomes us first — like a spoonful of traditional dessert you don’t want to finish — with rebetika, Smyrna-style, and folk songs. A soft and nostalgic start, like a jasmine-scented evening in your grandmother’s courtyard.
Next, Nostos Band takes us by the hand for a musical journey from Epirus to Crete. The summer that’s passed becomes song, and memory turns into rhythm.
Joining us for the first time, Kyratzides bring their mainland-style sound and the authentic pulse of the Pindus mountains. With their “zygía,” they guide us through imagined paths over mountains, through villages, across plains and islands — a deeply Greek and soul-refreshing experience.
By the time Xefrago Ampeli take the stage, night has truly fallen. And this is where the real magic begins. Flip-flops melt, friends sing out loud, rhythm pulses through feet and hands.
And for the grand finale? Of course, it’s Gidiki. The band that’s become synonymous with electric live energy, taking over to lift us one last time before we say the traditional: “Goodnight — time to go home.”
Rizes Fest isn’t just music. It’s togetherness. It’s the scent of summer nights in the yard. It’s the sound of the old and the new. It’s roots — and it’s celebration.
