Prolapse (UK)

Prolapse have always defied categorization. Contradictory, provocative, and unorthodox, they blend alternative rock intensity, post-punk attitude, krautrock rhythms, sharp guitars, and vocals pulling in opposite directions. At first chaotic, it all somehow works—decadent and anarchic, just like The Fall.

Carrying forward the legacy of The Fall, the band mixes repetition with Sonic Youth-inspired guitars, and their live shows are legendary, turning chaos into sound in a constant negotiation with noise. Irony, anger, urban melancholy, and narrative absurdity collide in a torrent of conflicting voices, genders, ideas, and moods.

After 25 years, since Ghosts of Dead Aeroplanes, Prolapse return with no nostalgia—just raw intensity and defiance of anything conventional.

Discography:

  • 1994: Pointless Walks To Dismal Places
  • 1995: Backsaturday
  • 1997: The Italian Flag
  • 1999: Ghosts Of Dead Aeroplanes
  • 2025: I Wonder When They’re Going To Destroy Your Face

Bokomolech (GR)

Bokomolech are among Greece’s most important English-speaking indie bands. In a 30+ year career, they’ve released just 4 albums and 3 EPs, yet created a legacy that defies trends and fashions. Forging their own underground path, they remain a quiet constant in the Greek indie scene, with each live show proving their enduring appeal.

Following their recent reactivation, fans eagerly await new material. Their live energy channels decades of creativity, including the iconic Jet Lag (1997), recorded with Steve Albini in Chicago, a peak in their career.

Discography:

  • 1995: Xero
  • 1997: Jet Lag
  • 2003: Exit (Trance)
  • 2012: Mass Vulture

A Clash of Emotion & Noise

Some concerts feel like a return—not to a place, but to a feeling.
Prolapse and Bokomolech, both emerging from the magical alternative scene of the 1990s, take the stage at Architektoniki on Thursday, February 19, for a night that promises to strip down memories and create new ones—a live experience more of raw emotion and noise than a conventional show.
