Open Mic Challenge: New Music Talents Take the Stage at Theatre of the NO
The new music season at Theatre of the NO kicks off with a special live concert celebrating the artists who stood out during the first season of Open Mic Challenge – New Talents Music Nights.
Following six live music evenings that gave emerging creators the opportunity to present original material and covers to a live audience, the artists who were selected through the audience vote return to the NO stage for a special concert night.
Among them are the competition’s winners, Maria Bethani and the duo Georgia Marouli – Dimosthenis Chelmis, alongside artists who took part in the previous Open Mic events.
From Open Mic to the Stage
Georgia Marouli – Dimosthenis Chelmis and the Open Mic artists
In the first part of the evening, Georgia Marouli and songwriter-composer Dimosthenis Chelmis share the stage with artists who made their mark in previous Open Mic events. Voices, songs and fresh creative perspectives come together in a programme that celebrates the immediacy and power of live music.
Maria Bethani: Music, Poetry & Personal Stories
The second part of the evening is presented by Maria Bethani, in a music-and-poetry performance that brings together songs and spoken word.
The creator of the albums “Why Should We Be Afraid” and “Everything Changes”, as well as the poetry collection “Miracle,” Bethani builds a personal narrative around human relationships, everyday life, and the changes that shape us.
With humor, sensitivity, and a subtle edge, music and words enter into a constant dialogue, creating an intimate performance that reflects her distinctive artistic voice.

Celebrating a New Generation of Artists
Open Mic Challenge – New Talents Music Nights was created as an open platform for artists looking to perform their music live and connect directly with an audience.
Across the six events of the first cycle, Theatre of the NO welcomed a wide range of musical styles, with a strong focus on personal expression and original material. Audience participation through live voting was a central part of the process, helping select the artists who now return to the stage for this special concert.
The event marks both the beginning of a new music season and the continuation of an initiative dedicated to bringing emerging voices, diverse musical perspectives, and audiences together under one roof.
A night of new talent, original music, poetry, and live performance awaits at Theatre of the NO.
