25 Years of Planet of Zeus: A Monumental Return to the Technopolis Stage
Mark your calendars: Saturday, September 6th, 2025, Athens will be shaking to the sound of Planet of Zeus. The beloved heavy rock band celebrates 25 years of music with a career-defining live show at the Technopolis City of Athens, and we’re already counting down the days.
For 25 years. Words that carry so many moments. From sweaty gigs in underground venues like Rodeo and An Club, to headlining sold-out shows in large venues and touring Europe alongside names like Clutch, Kvelertak, and Grand Magus, with appearances at some of the world’s biggest metal festivals (Wacken, Hellfest, Graspop, Bloodstock and more), Planet of Zeus have never been just a band. They’ve been a driving force in Greece’s heavy rock scene—and far beyond.
Their 2024 album “Afterlife” marked a bold step forward, proving they’re not just still relevant—they’re in their prime. The new material was embraced with overwhelming enthusiasm from fans and critics alike, solidifying that Planet of Zeus are in their strongest era yet.
This anniversary show is shaping up to be a high-voltage celebration of their journey so far. Expect a heavy-hitting setlist filled with highlights from their discography, surprises on stage, and that signature on-stage electricity that only they can deliver. This won’t just be a rock concert. It’ll be a celebration of survival, brotherhood, and an unbreakable bond with music.
Special guests: Khirki
Explosive Khirki are completing the lineup, an Athens-based heavy rock trio who blend traditional melodies with powerful metal energy. Named after the mythical sorceress Circe, Khirki draw influences from bands like Mastodon, Tool, and Kvelertak, while weaving in Balkan and Eastern sounds to create their own wild sonic brew.
Their 2021 debut album “ΚΤΗΝΩΔΙΑ” was a major hit with the metal community, earning rave reviews both locally and internationally. In 2024, they followed it up with “ΚΥΚΕΩΝΑΣ”, which exceeded expectations and cemented their place on the global metal map.
