Athens’ progressive rock/metal scene is gearing up for a special night with Odd Meter Vol. 1. Negative Contrast, Feed the Machine, and Skags will take the stage, delivering powerful riffs, odd time signatures, and innovative music, creating an experience not to be missed.

Skags

Skags are sonic storytellers of Athens’ alternative/progressive rock scene, blending theatrical vocals, massive guitars, and atmospheric synths. From their debut Digital Cage of a Cursed Generation (2020) to their latest concept album Year 2200 (2024), the band explores dystopian futures, social issues, and experimentation with prog, electronic, and cinematic rock.

Their third album, Inertia/Ad Nauseam, is scheduled for 2026 and promises to push Skags’ narrative and sonic identity even further.

Negative Contrast

Negative Contrast is a female-fronted alternative/progressive rock/metal band from Athens. Formed in 2016, they have released albums and EPs such as:

Feed the Machine is a progressive metal band from Athens, formed in 2019. With experience in Greek metal acts such as Depression, Septic Flesh, and Fantastic Terrors, Feed the Machine approaches music with passion and dedication.

Their sound blends technical mastery, atmospheric depth, and influences from bands like Symphony X, Dream Theater, Katatonia, and Amorphis. Their lyrics explore personal struggles, societal challenges, and the human condition.
