Major Concerts – Summer 2025

1. GIORGOS ALKAIOS & NIVO SUMMER TOUR 2025

This summer is about singing, fun and memories!

Giorgos Alkaios and NiVO are setting up the ultimate summer party and drag us into an unforgettable night of music that no one can resist their rhythm. The two artists travel all over Greece with their timeless hits and remind us what genuine entertainment is.

With their 12-member orchestra, they make an appointment with their loyal audience in selected venues in Athens and in cities of the region and present a program that they themselves have curated with a lot of singing, dancing and nostalgia.

2. ISLAND OF DESIRE x KUDURO PRESENT LIVA K

ISLAND OF DESIRE collaborates with KUDURO to present one of the most innovative and upcoming Greek DJs of the electronic scene – Liva K

Combining forward-thinking Afro-house textures with an authentic glamour with club roots, his groove-heavy sound effortlessly blends evocative piano melodies combined with exciting rhythms to stunning effect. Enriched with equal measures of kinetic charge and emotion-rich atmospheres, LIVA K’s music has been supported by Black Coffee, Innellea, Carl Cox, Blondish, Louie Vega, Tiesto, Kygo, Steve Angello, Diplo among many others.

3. 100 YEARS OF MIKIS THEODORAKIS

Kalamata honours Mikis Theodorakis with a magnificent concert on Saturday 2 August at the city’s Open Theatre.

A musical evening with top performers and excellent musicians, in a programme dedicated to the great composer, the poet of Romiosis, one of the greatest representatives of modern Greek culture.

Part I of the concert will feature the monumental work “Axion Esti”, with music by Mikis Theodorakis and poetry by Odysseus Elytis, a landmark work that speaks deeply to collective historical and national memory.

Part B includes selected songs by Theodorakis from the entire range of his oeuvre – songs that have moved, inspired and continuously accompanied the lives of Greeks for decades.

4. APON – Live at the Rafina Swimming Pool, August 9, 2025

APON, one of the most popular Greek artists of the new generation, will perform his biggest hits like “Vorias” and “Chiliometra,” along with tracks from his albums SEXERO and Oneiropolos. A summer concert full of rhythm, emotion, and high energy.

5.Franz Ferdinand – Live at Lycabettus Theater, September 11

The legendary Franz Ferdinand return to Athens for a one-of-a-kind concert, showcasing their new album The Human Fear alongside their biggest hits. With over 20 years of musical history, the Scottish rock band delivers a high-energy, innovative show celebrating both their legacy and future.

6. MINOS MATSAS | TA REBETIKA II + FADO TANGO & BLUES

Following last year’s sold out performance at the Herodesion, Minos Matsas presents the second cycle: Rebecca II + Fado Tango & Blues, The Songs of the World: the musical traditions from different lengths and widths of the earth that express the same experiences and emotions, pain, poverty, love, separation, nostalgia, loneliness, love and hope. But the music is one. It unites us, it vibrates us, it moves us, it fascinates us, wherever it comes from, as long as it is true.

7. 5 YEARS DYO_MIDEN_DYO_MIDEN +++FRIENDS

DYO_MIDEN_DYO_MIDEN +++FRIENDS return to where it all began, to celebrate five years of creativity, authenticity and companionship. On Saturday 20 September, the industrial setting of PLYFA will be transformed into a festive melting pot, full of beats, faces, friends, lyrics and energy. And of course, as always, Dj Unwound on the decks.

8. JETHRO TULL | THE SEVEN DECADES

On Saturday 20 September Jethro Tull return to Athens to give a concert – the culmination of their huge career – at the Municipal Theatre of Lycabettus, the venue that has once again captivated the Athenian audience. The legendary rockers are coming to give us another unforgettable live performance with a dreamy setlist that will remind us of their unimaginable talent. After all, Greece has always been among the countries they included in their tours, culminating in the concert at the Herodeion in 2019, for the band’s 50th anniversary.

9. SMASH INTO PIECES ARMAHEAVEN PROPHECY: EUROPE TOUR 2025

The cinematic rock band Smash Into Pieces has a long career behind them, with countless tours in Europe, USA and Sweden to their credit.

In the spring of 2023 they participated in Melodifestivalen with the song “Six Feet Under”, which has now gone quadruple platinum in Sweden. In the spring of 2024, the band returns with a new album and a TV presence, starting a Swedish tour with a total of 20 stations.

On Thursday 25 September 2025 they will perform live at the Eightball Club in Thessaloniki, offering the audience an unforgettable night of old and new material.
ArmaHeaven Prophecy marks the beginning of Chapter IX in the epic universe of SMASH INTO PIECES – a bold new era, where narrative meets hard sound and cinematic experience.

10. ΣΤΙΧΟΙΜΑ – ANSER

The cinematic rock band Smash Into Pieces has a long career behind them, with countless tours in Europe, USA and Sweden to their credit.
On Saturday 27 September, the Petra Theatre becomes a field of expression:
STICHOIMA and ANSER meet for the first time on stage, for a night with the microphones pointed at the present. Two separate paths in Greek hip hop, with the common denominator being the lyrics that make no discounts and the consistent presence in a scene that is constantly changing.

STICHOIMA, one of the most long-lasting and influential groups in Greek rap, started their journey in the late 90s and until today they keep the flame and the truth of their lyrics intact. Xplicit and Marina take to the stage with their familiar dynamics, delivering tracks that look social reality in the eye – without filters and without discounts.

On the other hand, ANSER brings a sharp and essential speech, delivered with technical precision and personal style. With a solid presence and dynamic live performances, he has built a relationship of trust with his audience, consistently choosing quality over compromise.

On the decks, EVERSOR takes on the backbone of the night, dressing the lyrics with beats that balance between rawness and sensitivity, hardness and emotion.

A night that unites two worlds with a common ground: the lyric that insists on telling the truth.
