Internationally acclaimed classical guitarist and composer Panagiotis Margaris presents his new musical production “Mediterranean” in Athens, at Theatre of the NO.

A Musical Journey Across the Mediterranean

In “Mediterranean”, Panagiotis Margaris’ guitar becomes a meeting point for different musical traditions. Portuguese fados and melodies from Southern Italy meet iconic songs by influential composers and artists such as Lucio Dalla, Jacques Brel, Nino Rota and Mikis Theodorakis.

The programme is enriched with selected arrangements and solo guitar compositions from Panagiotis Margaris’ extensive discography, shaped through his distinctive artistic style, passion and exceptional musicianship.

Joining him on stage is the outstanding vocalist Katerina Ververi, whose voice completes this rich Mediterranean musical mosaic.

Special Guests and Musical Surprises

“Mediterranean” will also feature musical surprises, with special appearances by important artists who have collaborated with Panagiotis Margaris throughout his long artistic career.

The performances begin on Sunday, 1 November at 20:30, with acclaimed Greek vocalist Fotini Velesiotou as the special guest.

“Mediterranean” promises an atmospheric and deeply emotional musical experience, bringing together different traditions through the universal language of music and the unique sound of the classical guitar.
