A live musical experience where jazz meets funk and rock, driven by free improvisation, electric sounds and the creative interaction of three accomplished musicians on stage.

Joining Makis Ablianitis, Giannis Monos on Hammond organ and vocals brings his own distinctive musical identity to the project, combining virtuosity, deep musicality and a strong stage presence. On drums, Giorgos Maniatis completes the trio with technical precision and a powerful, tightly controlled rhythmic sound.

Following the release of his sixth solo album, “Earthbounds – The Music of Makis Ablianitis Remixed”, Makis Ablianitis returns to the stage with a programme based almost entirely on new original compositions.

The sound of “No More Melodies” moves beyond the boundaries of traditional jazz guitar. Electric guitar and effects create a dynamic, contemporary sonic landscape, with strong influences from the “golden era” of funk and rock. Improvisation lies at the heart of the project, allowing the three musicians to interact freely and shape the music in real time.

Makis Ablianitis: A Distinctive Musical Journey

Makis Ablianitis has built an impressive career within the Greek jazz and ethnic-jazz scene. As a guitarist, he has recorded and performed with some of Greece’s leading jazz musicians and acclaimed singers, including Manolis Lidakis, Maria Farantouri, Vangelis Germanos and Pantelis Thalassinos.

He has also collaborated with major figures of the international ethnic-jazz scene, including Hariprasad Chaurasia, Glen Velez, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Fuat Saka and Dragan Dautovski.

His track “Love Secret”, from the triple-platinum album “BAHAR”, travelled beyond Greece, inspiring covers by musicians and singers abroad and reaching millions of views on YouTube.

In January 2026, he released his new project “No More Melodies”, marking another step in his ongoing musical exploration.
