Ticketmaster Hellas Partners with Floga for World Cancer Day
At Ticketmaster Hellas, we believe in the power of collective action and the impact it can have on our communities. This World Cancer Day, we are thrilled to announce our participation in an inspiring initiative to support Floga, the Parents' Association of Children with Cancer. Join us in making a meaningful impact and be part of the change we want to see! 💙
From February 5 until March 8, Ticketmaster teams worldwide, including over 500 staffers from 30 offices, are taking part in a unique challenge. Teams of 12 are combining runs, walks, and steps around their local neighborhoods to cover a staggering 2024-mile stretch – equivalent to the distance from the Ticketmaster Bangkok office to Everest’s summit. The initiative promotes physical activity for a good cause and underscores Ticketmaster’s commitment to making a positive difference in the world.
Our Chosen Charity – Floga:
Ticketmaster Hellas has proudly chosen Floga as our nominated charity for this initiative. Floga, the Parents’ Association of Children with Cancer, was founded in 1982 at the Panagiotis and Aglaia Kyriakou General Children’s Hospital of Athens by parents facing the challenges of childhood cancer. As a non-profit organization (NPO), Floga has grown to encompass thousands of families across Greece, providing essential support and care.
Floga’s Mission and Aims:
Floga’s mission is to stand by children suffering from cancer and their families, fighting for better medical, mental, and social care. The organization aims to establish an institutional framework for the hospitalization of children, provide training for pediatricians in oncology departments, care for adolescents in children’s hospitals, offer psychological support to families, and raise public awareness about childhood cancer.
Transparency and Accountability:
Floga operates as a non-profit organization, with an annual administrative and financial audit conducted by Deloitte certified public accountants. This commitment to transparency ensures that every donation makes a direct and positive impact on the lives of children and families facing the challenges of childhood cancer.
