From Saturday, November 22, 2025, to Monday, January 6, 2026, Technopolis City of Athens transforms into a magical Christmas universe filled with light, joy, and creativity for visitors of all ages.

The City of Christmas is back, brighter, livelier, and more inspiring than ever!

Every year, as winter approaches, a familiar glow spreads over Technopolis – the glow of the DEI Christmas Factory. For twelve consecutive years, this festival has turned the heart of Athens into a place of imagination, creativity, and togetherness.

The Grand Opening

The official start of the festivities will take place on Saturday, November 22, with a spectacular celebration featuring:

The lighting of the Christmas tree
Fireworks
A live concert by the beloved singer Lila (19:00 – 22:00)

Following the opening, the city comes alive with theatrical performances, creative workshops, games, exploration activities, and festive sounds and flavors. This year’s theme, inspired by light and discovery, invites children (and those who are young at heart) to find their own “star” through imagination and participation.

The Snow Kingdom

Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale comes to life on stage in a production adapted and directed by Konstantinos Tsoymparis.
Young Gerda embarks on a journey to find her friend Kai in the Snow Kingdom, encountering dangers, unexpected allies, and icy landscapes along the way. With stunning sets, costumes, original music, songs, video art, and an eight-member cast, the performance is designed for children aged 5 and up, as well as adults who still believe in the magic of Christmas.

“Find Your Star” – Interactive Workshops

This year’s workshop series, “Find Your Star”, invites children to take part in 10 unique missions in Santa’s Bright City:

Santa’s Palace – new elves take on creative tasks
HoHo-Express – children write the most imaginative letters to Santa
Cine Factory – create and watch your own characters come to life
Elf School – children help elves restore the light of the Christmas Star
Dark Elf Garden – an exploration journey with flashlights and secret paths
Christmas Traditions Gallery – a global tour of holiday customs
Elf Art Studio – a creative painting corner
Elf Hall – rhythms and melodies from around the world
Sensory Playground – participatory experiences exploring the senses
“Star Pastry” Bakery – crafting a magical recipe with flour, salt, water, and… light

Christmas Fun Park

At the heart of Technopolis, the Christmas Fun Park offers activities and entertainment for all ages:

Classic Christmas slides, carousel rides, ferris wheels, ice train, bump cars
A large ice rink and mirror maze
The Christmas market becomes a festive promenade with gift stalls, ornaments, and gourmet treats: burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, waffles, hot chocolate, wine, and candies. Everywhere around, elves, lights, and music create an immersive holiday experience.
