A Finn on the Athens jazz scene
Jykä Ahola has a long international career and a special bond with Athens, where he has played more than 30 shows between 2021 and 2025. He and Stefanos Kozanis have already recorded together on the album Dedications (2023). They are now working on new material, expected out in early 2027.
From Charlie Haden to Radiohead
The programme features original compositions by Ahola and Kozanis, alongside works by Charlie Haden, Carla Bley, Kurt Weill, Herbie Hancock, David Bowie, Radiohead, Marcus Miller and Hermeto Pascoal. It makes for a night where different musical traditions meet in one shared, open sound.
