What happens when you take everything life has thrown at you, relationships, friendships, family, people you have met, bad decisions and situations that were anything but funny at the time, and turn them into stories for the stage? The answer is “The Story of an Idiot”, Marlex’s first solo comedy performance.

On Friday 6 and Friday 13 November 2026, at Mikros Kerameikos, Marlex shares real moments from his life and the people who have shaped him along the way. Through storytelling and his distinctive sense of humour, he revisits situations that were once difficult, uncomfortable or simply absurd and turns them into reasons to laugh.

Because, as Marlex has learned, laughter is one of the best ways to deal with even the most difficult situations. Maybe it is a way not to lose your mind. Or maybe, in the end, humour simply makes everything a little easier to handle.

There is, however, one small problem. In most of these stories, the idiot of the story is Marlex himself.

And so, this time, he decides to share it all with his audience. The people he has met, relationships he has experienced, friendships, family stories, awkward moments and decisions that seem even funnier in hindsight. Not only to make us laugh with him, but also to finally discover that he is not the only idiot in the room.

“The Story of an Idiot” is not simply a stage adaptation of Marlex’s online content. It is a full length autobiographical comedy show, written specifically for the theatre, combining storytelling, personal experiences and the direct connection that Marlex has built with his audience over the years.

Get ready for an evening filled with stories, self deprecating humour and plenty of laughter. Because sometimes, the best way to look back at your worst decisions is to turn them into… a comedy show.
