Miranda Verouli – 30 Anos Brasil: 30 Years Dedicated to Brazilian Music
Miranda Verouli celebrates 30 years dedicated to Brazilian music with a special anniversary concert at Theatre of the NO on Friday, October 30, 2026.
A Musical Journey Through Brazil
Three decades of music, collaborations, travel and exploration have shaped Miranda Verouli’s unique connection with Brazilian culture. Her artistic journey has been deeply influenced by samba, bossa nova, MPB, choro and the rhythms of Bahia, as well as the Portuguese language and the distinctive emotion and freedom that define Brazilian music.
For “30 Anos Brasil,” Miranda Verouli takes the stage at Theatre of the NO together with her group for a concert celebrating different eras and expressions of Brazilian music.
The repertoire features iconic artists including Antônio Carlos Jobim, João Gilberto, Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso, Sérgio Mendes and Marisa Monte, combining beloved songs with pieces that hold a special place in Miranda’s own artistic journey.
30 Years of Music and Artistic Encounters
“30 Anos Brasil” is more than an anniversary concert. It is a musical journey through a relationship with Brazilian music that has evolved over three decades.
Miranda Verouli’s extended stays in Brazil and her collaborations with local musicians, combined with her background in jazz and her long-standing presence on the Greek jazz and world music scene, have shaped her distinctive and authentic approach to Brazilian repertoire.
Over the years, Brazilian music has become a language of communication, a source of inspiration and a starting point for important artistic encounters.
An Honored Ambassador of Brazilian Music
Miranda Verouli is widely recognized for her contribution to the promotion of Brazilian music in Greece. In 2018, she was honored by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Knight Medal of the Order of Rio Branco, in recognition of her contribution to promoting Brazilian music in Greece.
